Sign Up for Our Newsletter And Stay Updated On All The Events Organized By HEHDO. We Organize These Events To Spread Awareness About Our Causes And Help People Engage Directly With Our Team And Volunteers Working On Improving The Healthcare Infrastructure In Haiti.
Our Annual Event
HEHDO aims to organize an annual event commemorating the efforts of the team members and volunteers working towards our goal – Improving Haiti’s healthcare infrastructure. The event will also honor the donors who help our organization pursue its goal and work towards improving healthcare provision in Haiti.
The annual event will also include highlights of HEHDO’s achievements in Haiti and New York. This will serve as a motivator to the team and potential volunteers and as an endorsement of HEHDO’s ability to bring about true change in Haiti’s healthcare system with the help of our donors.
Most importantly, the event will serve as the most important fundraiser of the year. By helping our donors understand what we have achieved and what we aim to achieve in the following year and in the long run, we aim to inspire the confidence that their donations are in good hands. The event allows them to engage with the people who are directly involved in our healthcare projects in Haiti and learn about the real-time challenges they are facing.
The event will also include Haitian food and entertainment for the guests.
Other Events
In addition to our annual event, we aim to arrange several other smaller events throughout the year with the following goals.
Awareness:
We will spread awareness about what we aim to do in Haiti, and we will target a broad audience for these awareness-oriented events, including medical professionals, healthcare communities, and a wide spectrum of donors. The goal is to spread awareness among people who are more likely to contribute to our cause financially or through their time and efforts.
Acknowledgment:
Unlike our team members who’ve dedicated a better part of their lives to our cause, volunteers might simply be driven by their need to help humanity. And it’s important to acknowledge their effort and help them understand that their work has actually made a difference, so they are more likely to continue. We will organize events specifically for the volunteers, ranging from small, localized events to larger, national-level gatherings.
Education
These events will mostly be concentrated in New York and will focus more on the local communities and their healthcare needs than on Haiti. The goal of these events will be to help people understand the healthcare system better and achieve more information about the options available to them. Similar events might be organized in Haiti but with different goals – training locals and Haiti-based medical volunteers in basic healthcare, first-aid, and emergency medical response.
Fundraising
Lastly, we may organize multiple events to raise funds for our broadest goal – healthcare infrastructure improvement in Haiti and specific short-term goals, like buying ambulances or setting up local clinics.
We aim to keep our overhead costs as low as possible, so most of our events will be donor-funded, and we will only organize events that are deemed to be absolutely necessary.
